Terms of Trade, Privacy, and Legal Notices

These Terms govern the provision of bespoke carpentry and joinery services (“Services”) by Cooke Bespoke Carpentry Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) to clients (“Client”, “you”). By commissioning work, requesting quotes, or attending site consultations, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Cooke Bespoke Carpentry Ltd provides design, manufacture, and installation of bespoke joinery and fitted furniture for residential and small commercial properties. Services include made-to-measure storage, shelving, cabinetry, stair components, interior trims, and associated installation work.

All services are delivered as professional craftsmanship. We do not provide architectural, structural engineering, or legal advice. Clients must ensure any planning or building regulations compliance is met independently.

2. Quotations and Estimates

Quotations provided are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Any variations requested by the Client may incur additional costs. Estimates are based on information supplied by the Client; inaccuracies may result in revised pricing.

3. Booking, Site Access, and Scheduling

Appointments, site visits, and installation dates are confirmed upon acceptance of the quotation. Clients must provide safe and reasonable access to the property. We may reschedule if access or site conditions are unsafe.

Delays caused by the Client or unforeseen circumstances may affect project timelines.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide accurate measurements, plans, and relevant information prior to commencement. The Client is responsible for notifying the Company of any site hazards, restricted access, or other limitations.

Clients are also responsible for clearing and protecting areas where work will occur.

5. Fees and Payment

Invoices are payable as agreed in the quotation. Payment terms must be adhered to; late payments may incur additional charges. We reserve the right to suspend or cease work until payments are made.

Any deposits paid are non-refundable if the Client cancels after work has commenced.

6. Quality and Warranty

All work is carried out using appropriate materials and craftsmanship standards. Minor variations in colour, grain, or finish are normal in bespoke woodworking.

We provide a workmanship guarantee for a period of 12 months from installation. Guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or external factors beyond our control.

7. Liability

We accept responsibility for errors or defects caused by our workmanship. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. Clients must ensure insurance coverage for property or items affected during installation.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

Client information is collected and stored for project management, invoicing, and communication purposes only. Personal data is held securely and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

Clients may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data in accordance with GDPR.

9. Communications

By providing contact details, Clients consent to communications regarding quotations, project updates, and administrative matters. We do not send unsolicited marketing without explicit consent.

10. Website, Cookies, and Digital Content

11. Complaints

Concerns or complaints should be raised promptly so they can be addressed. We aim to resolve matters fairly and efficiently.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
